Our Services
Our military is taught from day one that they must have pride in oneself, in their unit and in their country. Everything must be cleaned and inspection-ready in order to maintain the health and welfare of all others. We will apply this same military philosophy while maintaining your property. Our veterans and their families will ensure that your property is cleaned to your satisfaction, and while doing so we will help put an end to veterans' unemployment in our area.
My name is Kyle Opperman. Shortly after high school I joined the United States Army on October 19, 2004 and shipped off to basic training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. Upon graduation from basic training I traveled to Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland to complete my Advanced Individual Training (AIT) as a Fire Control Repairer (45G) or (91G) as it is classified now. After completing my 6 months of (AIT) I volunteered to go to Airborne School in Ft. Benning, GA for 3 weeks to become qualified as a parachutist. Finally after graduating from Airborne School I was sent to my first duty station in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Since I was stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC which is home to the 82nd Airborne Division I was jumping regularly with my unit and completed 23 jumps in the short year I was stationed there, which included being awarded Australian jump wings after parachuting alongside them.
After a year I was relocated to Ft. Hood, Texas to be with the 1st Cavalry Division as they prepared to deploy to Taji, Iraq. My unit and I deployed to Iraq for 15 months. While in country I decided to reenlist and once we returned back to the United States I was relocated to Warner Barracks in Bamberg, Germany. Once I arrived in Germany I was quickly back on my way to Camp Liberty (Baghdad International Airport), Iraq for my 2nd deployment for 12 months. Upon returning from Iraq I was able to enjoy the beautiful country of Germany for 1 year then I was off back to the United States to be stationed at Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After a few months of being in Colorado enjoying the beautiful scenery and countless things to do there I was off once again to my 3rd and final deployment to Afghanistan. While in Afghanistan I traveled all over the country during that 12 months and once we returned back to Colorado I decided after 8 ½ years it was time to leave the military and try to pursue my passion of owning my own business. I was honorably discharged from the United States Army on March 13, 2013 as a Staff Sergeant.
When I moved back to Michigan I quickly enrolled at the University of Michigan to study Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship while working full time. In December of 2015 I graduated with my Bachelors. Shortly after graduation I accepted a position with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) as a Maintenance Area Supervisor for Sterling Stamping in Sterling Heights, Michigan. I am still currently working for FCA to this day.
One day while researching on LinkedIn I stumbled upon a profile of Mark Baird which opened my eyes to a business opportunity called US Military Maintenance. This concept allowed me to follow two passions of mine owning/operating my own business and helping veterans with finding work. All veterans know what it takes to be disciplined, accountable and inspection ready, because of this starting a cleaning service business with veterans at the helm was a no brainer. These veterans can use the skills and experience that they have learned in the military and provide inspection ready cleanliness to residential and commercial properties within the community and be compensated at a living wage for their great work. Keeping veterans off the street is what we are here for and what we are all about and we encourage you to join us in this commendable cause. Thank you.
